Borderlands video game review Blending role playing elements and first person where to buy pandora bracelets and charms blasting action in a video game is nothing new, of course.

JC Denton and chums made that particular mash up in the marvellous Deus Ex way back in 1998. More recently, Fallout 3 combination of pandora charms catalogo VATS assisted firestorms and deep, epic character development made Bethesda game one of the most critically lauded of recent times. On the desolate planet of Pandora four mercenaries arrive at a shanty town in search of a mythical vault and, er, that it. These mercs represent the four classes of Borderlands: the tanklike Berserker, the everyman Soldier, sniper expert Hunter and, finally, the sexy, stealthy Siren. Each class naturally has their own weapon specialisations and once players are dropped onto Pandora dusty plateau, they can set about building their stats and skills by trawling the land for jobs and repeatedly shooting things in the face with a quite spectacular array of guns. Ah, yes, guns. There are lots of guns in Borderlands. Big ones, small ones, some that will take off your head. Scoped rifles with reduced recoil that fire incendiary rounds. Shotguns that blast blue shock waves that snake out in an ever expanding arc. For the more discerning lady bounty hunter, some pistols come with a pink finish and delicate fingerguard. And when you need something to just get the job done, gigantic rocket launchers that propel munitions that explode in a plume of orange flame and a shower of coiled electricity. Each weapon in the game is procedurally generated, with its various aspects of ammo, elemental properties (such as fire or electricity), attachments and so on randomly assigned to create a plethora of unique weapons. Gearbox claim that the number of different guns that could possibly appear in the game stretches into the millions. And on Pandora, they are everywhere. Even the vicious Skaggs alien doglike things gobble up guns for their tea. Meaning you find yourself ruffling through their insides after placing a bullet down their gussets, of course in search of a shiny new toy. Grim as pandora silver charm bracelet that may sound, there an undeniable thrill to finding a brand new sniper rifle that outstrips your rickety old one in everything from power to ammo capacity. That allure brings a certain compulsion to Borderlands a base desire for ever more fabulous loot that resides in most gaming fanatics that hard to shake. Weaponry tends to scale to your level, so as you progress you are always on the hunt for improvements to your arsenal, forever comparing and contrasting weapons stats and perks to form your perfect loadout. Then, when you think you found it, something even better turns up, meaning you are rarely carrying the same set of weapons for long. Of course, pretty pistols and ravishing rifles are useless without some compelling action to use them in and combined with that variety in firearms, Borderlands is host to some seriously satisfying gunplay. Missions do tend to be of the there. shoot that variety, but the blasting is meaty and effortlessly fun. Enemy types are mixed up well and, while each tends to have a predictable set of AI routines, when combined in a diverse squad, their different approaches keep you on your toes. Bigger enemies are often armed with giant gatling guns, their superior health meaning they lumber towards you paying little mind to your mosquito bite bullets. Psychos (including the eerily demented midgets) will storm towards screeching an incoherent babble and wielding a meat cleaver. While the more intelligent soldiers on the opposite side will take cover and try to outflank you. Borderlands never pretends to have the emergent AI of, say, Halo, but works on a strength and weakness basis to tie in with the massive range of weaponry at your disposal. The relentless pursuit of things dead and hunting out weaponry is undoubtedly what keeps Borderlands ticking. But this conceit is somewhat stretched beyond its limits at times, particularly in the enjoyable but slow opening hours. Eventually the game does open up to stretch its legs, throwing slightly more imaginative missions and more enemy types your way. But Borderlands does ask a lot of its players, too much at times. While your skill will out, you will need to be prepared for some level grinding and repetition to have any chance on missions above your paygrade. It a refreshingly lengthy game, but difficulty spikes can and will happen, especially with some of the mission bosses. You notice, much to your chagrin, that their health recharges after you restart from a checkpoint while all the ammo and health vials you used are gone for good. Still, this kind of thing is de rigueur for traditional RPG nuts, for whom the dedication that Borderlands can ask for will reap its own rewards.

That not to say the game is old fashioned, however, a compelling four player online co op mode offers even more opportunity for uber weapon pandora jewelry charms sale looting and its darkly comic characters than inhabit Pandora draw you into its world more than the wafer thin story does. Its unusual, offbeat approach to the tropes of both its genres gives the blend that extra dash of flavour it needs, but the base ingredients are just as tasty and fulfilling. And then there those guns, those wonderful, wonderful guns.
